Grant Writing: Stronger Proposals

Learn how to write clear, compelling grant proposals that align with funder priorities

Description

Great work happens in nonprofits every day, but turning that work into a clear, compelling proposal is what secures funding. Grant writing isn’t just about putting words on a page. It’s about telling your story in a way that funders immediately understand—who you are, the impact you’re making, and why your work is a strong investment. I see so many strong organizations miss out on funding not because their programs aren’t meaningful, but because their proposals lack clarity, alignment, or the key elements funders expect. This session focuses on how to structure and write grant proposals that are clear, compelling, and competitive. In this session, you will learn how to: • Understand the core components of a strong grant proposal • Clearly communicate your program, population served, and impact • Align your proposal with funder priorities and expectations • Strengthen your goals, objectives, and outcomes • Avoid common mistakes that weaken applications You will also receive practical tools and worksheets to help you organize your proposal, strengthen your narrative, and improve clarity and alignment in your grant writing. This session is ideal for organizations that are actively writing grants or want to improve the quality and effectiveness of their proposals. If you are currently applying for grants or planning to, this session will help you write proposals that are easier for funders to understand and support. This session is part of the Grant Success Blueprint training series. You can register for this session individually or attend all four sessions to build a complete grant strategy.
